OUR FAMILY TRIBUNE

SKYFIRE, THE CAT WHO THINKS SHE IS A LION

Our Family just recently got a cat. Anne's violin teacher has a lot of cats. 2 of her cats were pregnant, and the we got one of the kittens. The cat is a girl, and is named Skyfire. Skyfire can be sweet and cuddly at some times, but at others, she is wild. When Hyrum and Drew feed the baby goats, she will attack from behind, sending the baby goats running. When you walk past the garage, she will leap out at you, snarling. She will attack your leg as if it is a mouse.
No matter how wild this cat may be, however, she is dearly loved, might I say a little too loved by Caleb, if you know what I mean.

The Sound Of Music In Our Household

The sound of music is always present in the our home. Emmaline plays the violin and piano, Hyrum plays the cello and piano, Andrew plays the cello and piano, Anne plays the violin, piano, flute, guitar, and organ, and the mother, Amy, plays the piano and guitar. With all of these instruments in the house, when you step through the door, you are greeted by and orchestra. With the music ranging from O Divine Redeemer on the piano, to Orange Blossom Special on the violin, to Rondo on the cello, there is music of every style in these 4 walls.
As a small note, thank you for subscribing to our
Tribune. The cost will be $15 an issue. Thank you...

random pics and swimming in a garbage can

Just kidding, no really, I was!

OK, we really are busy and I have got stuff to do so

I have to hurry.

Melody is like the cutest baby ever, no offense to anybody who has baby's. :) hee hee. She will laugh all day igf you keep her entertained. She is so sweet. She hardly ever cry's, she is always smiling, and her biggest trial is......Bubbie. I know he looks cute, but if you look on the inside, you would scream and run and not look back until you have run to new york. not kidding :. Wow that smiley face is wierd. Anyway, Melody is so patient and she hardly ever cries. Sweet kid. So I was sewing a handkerchief and she started talking. SOOO CUTE!!!!!!

More pics, sorry, some of them are blurry.

K, the pics are up there but I wanted to tell you something that is super wierd.

My mom says that when she was a kid, she would go swimming in garbage cans. So we were burning our sagebrush and we had an old clean garbage can full of water just in case the fire got out of hand. When the fire was over, my mom said that we would only get some ice cream if we went swimming in the garbage cans. Ick. So we did and..... I survived. Wierd, huh? I think so too.

As you can tell, Elsa and Caleb and Melody do not like swimming in a garbage can very much.

Mom said to be sure to tell you guys that it was a CLEAN garbage can.

A MeiMei post

Okay. So I have well over 1000 pictures of MeiMei already. She is only four months old. I guess I'm going to have to do a dedicated MeiMei post weekly. Or whenever I get to it. But frequently. Here is the last week or so.

Bubby wanted me to take a picture of his and MeiMei's matching
finger nail polish. Their toenails match, too!

LOVE these cheeks!

These are the absolute CUTEST pajamas ever because the horizontal stripes just emphasize every delectable curve and bump. Don't you just want to squeeze her?

This doll stroller is a favorite for the big kids to push the babies (and two yr olds) around in. Sometimes the babies like it, sometimes they don't. The big kids seem to always like it!

Freaky!

This is the oddest phenonemon. We'll all be jumping on the tramp and Caleb is the only whose hair stands straight up. We all get such a kick out of it that I finally took some pictures.
---
Bubby called himself Bubbalicious the other day. We always call him Bubby, unless he's in trouble and then we call him Caleb. So of course he prefers Bubby. Well, I called him Bubbalicious a few weeks back when we were being silly, and then the other day he was being naughty and I called him Caleb, and he did the puppy dog eyes and said, "No, I'm Bubbalicious." What a cutie!

Uncle Spencer told Bubby this is his gardening shirt, since it says roots on it. So when it's clean he always asks for his gardening shirt. Funny Uncle Spencer!

Wordless Wednesday

No need for words...

Awwww... cute!

I just thought this was so cute, I had to post a picture! Drew is such a good big brother! Ilove that kid!

Our new kitten

This is our new cat. Her name is Skyfire, and we call her Sky. Our other cat, Butterscotch, disappeared a couple of weeks ago. We were SOOO sad! But we love Skyfire just as much. She is a kick! She attacks everything that moves, and she espewcially loves to terrorize the goats. Hopefully, she will keep the mice out of the barn.

The day we got her, our cousin, Madi, got a cat that looks just the same! Madi named him Mr. Peaches. Maybe they are cousins, too?

More babies!

Finally! My new desktop is assembled, photo editing software loaded, and I am ready to blog!

Our goats had babies. July 4th, Blue Vanessa had twin girls. We named them Debbie and Lynette, after Grandma's. Then July 23rd Lucille had twin girls. We named them Evelyn and Kit Kittredge. I was surprised Elsa wanted to name hers Kit Kittredge. Her favorite name is Evangeline, and she names absolutely EVERYTHING Evangeline. And the other kids were naming babies after Grandma's... Who can predict the notions of a four year old mind?

Say hi to our new baby goats!

We have to bottle feed them 3 times per day. If you leave them with their mommy and let them nurse off of her they grow up wild. So we separate them to a pen out of sight range of the their mommies and bottle feed them, and they think we are their "family."

Now, anyone who doesn't want to see a birth picture, avert your eyes, because I thought probably all of my nephews would. Nephews, these pics are for you!
